"The marionettes wobble and thrust toward each other, trying to find luv in the degenerate 21st century. Hearts fluttering and strings quivering in a thick and messy "pas de deux" The Tragic luv story unfolds over a live improvisational soundtrack, chaotic like a field of dandelions' passionate hearts exploding will leave you wet."

There iz no peace...onlee Love...is the title of the 2nd stage play written for Gloria Orangeena Hole's cast of 24" hand-crafted marionettes. The first stage play is titled Luv ain't the onlee truth...and was produced as an 11min video, screened both locally and internationally (Turin, Italy, 03/01). As a puppetter and artist I believe puppets can be societies' mutes who explore and express stories without the use of words, instead with actions & music. Therefore, there is a very limited use of words in both marionette productions. Music plays an important role. So with 2 marionetteers, one props person and a 4-piece ensemble of brilliant local musicians, we present to the audience a tragic love story in 4 acts. The music is improvisational with form, the form is steady, but with each performance the audience will experience variations on the same (theme). There iz no peace...onlee love...runs 14 minutes in length, has marionette sexual activity, and is rated 14+. We have performed at the Cavern, Vancouver BC, 04/01; Church of Pointless Hysteria, Vancouver BC, 05/01; The Progression Gallery, Vancouver BC, 06/01. The next performance will be at the Vancouver Int'l Fringe Festival, Vancouver BC, September 7 thru 15 2001.
