New York's Best Hotdogs, or??? Well go across the Hudson River for the World's Best Hotdog, the "Ripper" at Rutt's Hut in Clifton, NJ. A "Ripper is a Deep Fried Hotdog that's Crispy and Crunchy, "It's Sublime." Great Chilidogs at Teddy's in Paterson. Jersey Dogs and Jersey Boys; Frank Sinaatra, Daniel Bellino Zwicke, Bruce Springsteen and Willis, Jack and his Cousin Danny DeVito. The Dogs in Jersey are defineately better, but you can get realy Tasty Hotdogs at Nathan's Famous in Coney Island, Crif Dogs, Gray's, and Papaya Dog

Look--the best dog in NYC is ANY that comes out of the dirty water bath of any street cart. (As long as they're Sabrett franks). Just a little mustard and some onion sauce and you don't need to stand in line at Gray's.

It was priceless to see the face of my French spouse with his first dirty water dog. I had to take him all over NY for months, he needed skanky franks! The guy is anorexic, too! He seemed to like them best with just a little ketchup and often took about 10 minutes to eat one, in total silence, in a kind of bliss. Also, the low price fascinated him. Wow, did he ever like Coney Island "splits!" Skanky franks! Tube steaks! My lunch for years, as I was on a 5 dollar per day budget!
