Sailor Moon Helios Animation Cel

I really wanted to take a video of this before I got it framed, so it would be easier to share.

As stated in the video, this is an animation cel of Helios from Sailor Moon SuperS, or Sailor Moon episode 166 (or so I was told). I find this cel an amazing find, seeing as Helios is such a hard character to come by.

This is my frist cel and I hope to take as good of care of it as possible. I am aware of the dangers of framing. I am getting it framed with UV protect plexiglass and hanging a curtain over it ontop of that, so the odds of sun rays hitting it are pretty slim. I know I should be storing it in an Itoya portfolio, and you do not need to tell me this. I bought this to display with my collection, so that is what I'm going to do. I won't appreciate criticism for it! Just saying.

Be careful, its not just the sun that will fade the lines but incandescent or flourescent light as well (aka lightbulbs). I think its a beautiful cel and I undersandt framing it. But you also want to be able to enjoy it for more than a year. When getting it framed make sure they put "spacers" in between the matte and the background or foamcore backing which should be archival and non-acidic. Some framers will glue the piece diectly to the foamcore destroying it forever and making it irremoveable

@bmidnitekitten Thank you for your concerns! Don't worry, I have two layers of matte board between the cel and the glass. ^^ I also got 99% UV protect Museum glass for the frame.

I did not know that fluorescent lights could damage them though! Thank you very VERY much for that information! I will definitely continue to put a curtain over my cel while it is on my shelf. I appreciate your help! ♥

So lucky! :) Helios rocks! Animation cels are awesome but man they are crazy expensive! Congratulations on getting Helios, now only if they made a doll of him. XD

@kurenai16 I would still love this cel LOL. Also as a heads up, even if there is no sun in your room, frame it in a UV protected frame and glass. this will keep it completely safe. Even if there is no sun, with regular frames and glass, there is still chance of fading and destruction.
