A Long Forgotten School in North Carolina

So I was randomly driving around because I was bored and found this place, the whole tour is about 9 minutes and I ramble through it. Enjoy and be watching for more random videos from me.

this is my home town live just 7milees down the road belive to be rowland elementary back in the day not for sure. Its locatedb on 710 going in to rowland .

Can you be a bit more precise about where you found it (highway number, etc)? I've got people down that way and be there later this summer. I might could track down some more information for you.

Sorry Ive been away, this school is located on NC 701 about halfway in between us 501 and us 74. According to google it appears to be on the corner of thurman and oxford drive near Purvis, not sure if that helps

Very interesting video. The school could be used to film a horror movie.. I wonder what year it closed.

I have done some research locally and no one really knows anything about it other than its been closed for years. Im planning on trying to find more sites like this in the area soon I hope....everyone does pics but vids are awesome....i snapped off about 100 shots while I was in there....thanks for the comment

you need to go to proctorville school...it was an african american elementary school in the 1960s and they closed it for sewage problems....but it looks alot creepier and there is more stuff left in it than this school you have posted it is on adkinson inbetween fairmont and orrum if ur on adkinson rd driving toward orrum you cant miss it.

It was called Purvis School.. It was only for African American children.

That looks like an old elem school.There is this cool 2 story brick HS in a tiny village near Fayetteville,NC that has been empty since the 1950's.The school looks neat and would make a great community center or go condo.

That is so unbelievably cool that you were able to explore that old school and take your time doing it. It's getting harder and harder to find buildings that you can actually get into.
