Your not de-capping in this process are you? I assume you have already de-primed the cases.

God damn... I need one of these... It'll cut my loading time in half, lol!

I run the same trimmer at station (4) on my Dillon XL 650. I run a Fl size die at station (1) where it pops out the primer. Trims at 1.750 perfectly, I find no need to debur or chamfer due to the extremely straight cut on the brass. Actually degraded accuracy when i added a chamfer to the brass. I have a dedicated tool head set up just for this purpose. With the case feeder I can size, deprime and trim about 800 cartridges an hour with ease.

Does this work for pistol brass and whats the $

OK, going to call Dillon today. I guess I should get a spare tool head while I am at it.

How precise is this machine?
it doesn't seem like you're holding the case to the trimmer very long. Is the trim length, chamfer, and deburr consistent?

The cutting head is moving very fast, it can trim as fast as you can raise and lower the handle. It doesn't chamfer or deburr, it only trims. Length is plus or minus a couple thousandths.

Would that work on a lee press?

I don't see why not, as long as there's enough space around the top of the press for the vacuum housing and the motor it should work in any press that uses standard dies.

So after watching this, does the trimmer interrupt the "progressive" function of the loader? I thought with the trimmer it would go right inline and you would still produce a loaded cartridge each turn of the handle?
No?

I don't have enough stations to load at the same time as trimming. On other presses it would be possible.
