The "bounce pass" to Al Toon puts the Badgers ahead, but Champaign Tony Eason gets the Illini in position for Mike Bass' game winner. Please note the "editorial comments" are not mine! ;-)

Wisconsin was a joke,worst program in college next to Northwestern forever.People don't realize that now.guess I'm old.Al Toon was a great one though

I was sitting in Section X at that game. I might have been one of the ONLY people at Camp Randall that knew what was happening. MG coach Dick Rundall used it against us in HS a couple of times. The thing more worse than missing the extra point was that the Badgers should have pick off an Eason pass with 13 seconds to go. Talk about going from a high to low in 1 min.

I was a Freshman at Wisconsin, sitting in section "N" watching this game. I remember wondering what the hell just happened. Thought the play was dead but went crazy when we realized it was good! Thanks for posting. Brings back memories.

Thanks for the post. I was just a kid then, but I remembe the heart ache. David Greenwood standing under the goal post to block a close kick is my lasting image.
Wisconsin also did a bounce pass against Iowa in '81 (can't remember if that one worked.)
About the guy that did the voice comments on the video, when's the last time Illinois won a rose bowl?? Shut up!
