Ska Toons is a South-East-based eight-piece jazz-ska outfit inspired by the likes of The Skatalites, Jazz Jamaica, Miles Davis and James Brown. A tight, punchy mix of rocksteady, old-skool ska, funk and jazz, Ska Toons are great for dancing and guaranteed to put a smile on the face of... well, anyone, really.
A solid blowing horn section of tenor, soprano sax and trombone, very groovesome rhythm section of guitar, keyboards, bass and drums together with the vocal talents of the charismatic Helen Nicholls create an irresistible mix of great classic ska, skanked-up jazz instrumentals and rocking off-beat reworkings of class pop songs.
