Out of complete boredom, I decided to record a CPU-vs-CPU match in NCAA Football 12. These are highlights from a simulation of the 2011 season opener between the Georgia Bulldogs and the Boise State Broncos, set to take place on Sept. 3rd in the Georgia Dome. The Broncos will be entering as favorites, but Georgia will be spoiling for a fight. Can the Dawgs pull off the upset? The quarter length is 8 minutes and the difficulty is set to All-American, with the speed and slider settings tweaked to make the game flow in a more "realistic" manner. I chose the SEC Championship as the site because that and the Chik-fil-A Bowl are the only sites in the game with the Georgia Dome, and that's where the game will be held in real life. I also used named rosters off of Xbox LIVE that feature real-life players for both teams (although I think a couple players might be made up), courtesy of Patrick Morty.

Please keep discussion civil and minimize smack-talk. I should point out that I am not a fan of either team, but I think in the real-life match-up, Boise State has the advantage and I think that they will win. I certainly think Georgia has a chance, but Boise State has too much firepower on offense for the Dawgs to keep up with them. The way I see it, if Georgia wants to win, they can't let the game become a shootout. If you would like to see more simulations of games during the 2011 college football season, let me know and I'll record it.

  • can you simulate the game by not choosing either team and letting it pick it's own plays? ala NCAA '06 where you just move the controls to the center at the start screen = able to let computer make all play choices w/o having to hit a button each time.? Sometimes i like to just let it play in the background while i study... I miss that feature.

  • way too many sacks and interceptions if real...even if I give you the interceptions, the sacks are ridiculous

  • GO BOIZE

  • asshole

  • you suck at it

  • SEC Championship????

  • Does anyone else wish Verne Lundquist and Gary Danielson would be the commentators on an NCAA game?

  • chickfila bowl would hav been better than sec championship
