Joseph McNamara, the former chief of police in San Jose, CA and Kansas City, MO, talks about the vastly expanding but always ineffective U.S. effort to eradicate drugs across the globe. Joseph is a member of Law Enforcement Against Prohibition (LEAP), which any civilian can join for free at http://www.CopsSayLegalizeDrugs.com

  • Thank You L.E.A.P.

  • Great to see that press coverage hasn't faltered post prop 19. You could do with getting a story on The Young Turks or something similar, just to reach a wider audience. And now that the host (Cenk of TYT) has a regular spot on MSNBC could be the right time.

  • Thats not so true cause every time DEA send Agents that are even Mexicans over that border they find them headless......chopped up and video of wild dogs eating whats left of them but YouTube keeps the videos from airing....

  • @HEXiC32 "alcohol is addictive but not as much as drugs." SUPER FACEPALM. I stopped reading there because you are obviously either not educated, or a troll.

  • @HEXiC32 Look dude, addiction is addiction people are addicted to food, television, video games, cigarettes, alcohol and many more to mention. You say you're studying neuroscience but the way generalize the possibility of a drug legal world makes me think you haven't looked at all the negatives that are produced from having drugs legalized. Amsterdam and Portugal's drug related problems have decreased far lower than the US and Mexico because of the legalization tactic.

  • LEGALIZE. REGULATE. EDUCATE.

  • Type PRIZE before youtube and hit enter

  • dudes its not my country anyway.... you know what to do... all you have to do is to close your eyes for a few seconds and imagine america with all legal drugs. Sure alcohol is addictive but not as much as drugs... drugs have a much bigger fisical addiction. I haven't heard a single story until today of someone shooting parents for alcohol , yet for drugs... Even if drugs were less expensive - sure they would be expensive. Afterall its a hardworking process... but i quit, do whatever you want.

  • @CDClock ho yeah? so I bet your about to fail your neuroscience exam.
