Movie: Mere Mehboob (1963)

Cast: Rajendra Kumar, Sadhana, Ashok Kumar, Nimmi, Pran, Ameeta.

Lyrics: Shakeel Badayuni
Music: Naushad
Singer: Mohammed Rafi

Aey Husn Zara Jaag
Tujhe ishq jagaaye
badle meri taqdeer
jo tu hosh mein aaye

yeh pyar ke nagme yeh mohabbat ke taraane
tujhko bade armaan se aaya hoon sunaane
Umeed mere dil ki kahin toot na jaaye
Aey Husn Zara Jaag...

Saaz-e-dile khamosh mein ek soj jagade
tu bhi meri awaaz mein awaaz milade
aaya hoon tere dar pe badhi aas lagaye
aey husn zara jaag tujhe...

Aey shama tu aaja zara chilman se nikalke
hasrat hai ke reh jaaounga teri aag mein jalke
parwaana woh kya tujhpe jo mit kar na dikhaaye
Aey husn zara jaag
tujhe ishq jagaaye
badle meri taqdeer
jo tu hosh mein aaye
Aey husn zara jaag
tujhe ishq jagaaye

  • Thanks.

  • Thank you.

  • sadhana looks heavenly

song is sung by a heavenly voice

just no words 2 describe what felling im having listening 2 this song

  • Very sweet ghazal. As expected, Ashok Kumar becomes his role, Rajendra Kumar acquits himself creditably, and Sadhana steals one's heart by embodying traditional Indian femininity through her bashful innocence, as befits her character as a purdah-nashin beauty. Then you have Rafi's melodious voice. The totality is enthralling in its effect. Thanks for the post, rumahale.
