John McCain / Sarah Palin rally in Colorado Springs hits snag even before it begins.
News Blab has learned: A republican source has shared information that puts a bit of egg on the face of the El Paso County Republican Party, as well as the McCain camp.

Not as many people will be attending today's McCain/Palin road show at the Colorado Springs airport, as had received tickets. That's because after those people learned of the accommodations (or lack of) they must endure for hours while waiting for McCain to speak... they dumped their tickets.

Many who gave up their tickets were older people who were hoping to listen and see McCain LIVE, but knew they could probably not endure the type conditions they would be forced to endure.

No chairs (except for a few elite), standing room only for most everyone else, with many of those being placed on a hot un-shaded airport tarmac, long waits, poor parking... need I say more.

It's definitely not a speech listener friendly environment. I'm guessing better planning should have been done. Who dropped that ball...???

It was so confused this morning, even the spokesperson for the El Paso County Republican Party declined to talk with a local radio talk show host during his LIVE program from the jet center. I heard that refusal, and I'm guessing it must have been embarrassing... Welcome to LIVE broadcasting!

Later during the LIVE radio broadcast, Kyle Fisk (spokesperson for the El Paso County Republican Party) finally spoke with the talk show host (I wonder why?). But... imagine my surprise when Fisk had the nerve to ask that people who gave up their tickets, "for whatever reason" was the quote, to still come done there to the jet center and drop those tickets off at the 'Will Call' window, so someone else could use them. "To make someone's day", he said.

Okay... what part of, gave up their tickets for improper planning, doesn't Fisk understand? And then he asks them to come down, stand in line, and drop off their tickets... Yes... he is a republican, no doubt about it! (Rolls eyes)

  • While Palin was mayor of Wasilla, Alaska, rape victims in her town had to pay for their rape kits. This is shameful.

  • When Obama was at Civic Center Park in Denver, October 26th, 150,000 people were there, jamming the entire outdoor area and overflowing into the streets. Thousands of us (including me) went downtown hours ahead in the hopes of being close enough to see. When he spoke in Pueblo on November 1st, three days before the election, he drew a crowd of 100,000 - more than half the city's population! No seats, no shade, nothing.

The news showed McCain "meetings" at indoor halls seating 100, half-empty!

  • OH COME ON GUYS!! really?? McCain is not Bush and all you are doing is being narrow minded and repeating everything that Obama is saying. Same old same old...Gosh I hope McCain wins so you guys can just stop already! And if you think Obama is going to solve the problem you have a whole new story coming your way.

McCain/Palin 08 for the REAL CHANGE!!

  • Lehman, the sample of US economy

    Bush, republicans,

Thanks for the enormous financial mess you got the world in.

Our Dutch company is bankrupt due to the 8 years mess in the US!!!!!

Palin, I am not sure if you understand what happened in your great country, if not, please ask the rep. camp. leaders before your next interview.

Obama, are you sure you want to solve the 500B mess Bush will leave behind. If yes, good luck. You have my support.

  • If Mc Cain is elected america as we know it is gone. he is nothing more than bush Jr. puppet. our government is eating us alive.

we fear our government, I dont know a single american that trusts the US government

Do You ?? I wish there were term limits for all government offices from sherrifs to presidents,

  • how this any different than obama campaigns. i bet people have to wait for hours for him to. Talk about being bias.

  • holy cow, it was packed. The turnout was way above what was expected. 13,000 american flags that were dumped at the DNC in Denver were used at this speech in Colorado Springs. I saw hundreds of people with shirts saying Democrats for McCain. I think the Unity in politics has finally happened.

  • No we don't. Unfortunately, too much of the public is eating up Sarah Palin because she's pretty. She didn't even know that the two mortgage giants, Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae, were privately owned. She thought the government owned them all along. That's a huge error that shows a serious lack of awareness on her part. Really, it makes me despair of the education in this country.

  • do you americans love to be treated like crap? if so mccain o8!

  • Obviously you were not there.
