Cover Design £500. Microsoft Word £84.61. Marketing fees $9,475.00 1000 chars per page / 60 wpm = 16 minutes to type a page...300 pages = 80 hours X $10 per hour. (3 times more if you don't touch-type) Research? (3 years in my case) Proof-reading fees approx $900. Copyright fees approx £38. ISBN numbers roughly £10 each. Illustrations/photography (£?) Commission to publisher roughly 30% to 50% How many copies can you guarantee selling? (zero) Still think book prices are "ridiculous"?

I am not sure why everyone is missing that the site SnipFiles buys the PLR rights to these books which allows them to resell or give them away.
