PACIFIC PEARL in AUCKLAND

Pacific Pearl is the sixth cruise ship of the P&O Cruises Australia brand. She was built by Chantiers de l'Atlantique, at their shipyard in Saint-Nazaire, France, and launched in 1988 as Sitmar FairMajesty. Originally ordered for Sitmar Cruises, she was sold and first entered service with Princess Cruises as Star Princess in 1989. From 1997 to 2003, she served in the P&O Cruises fleet as MV Arcadia. She was renamed Ocean Village in 2003 when the brand was established.[2] Ocean Village was the sole cruise ship of the Ocean Village brand after the Ocean Village Two became the Pacific Jewel. She is now been transferred to P&O Cruises Australia and has been renamed Pacific Pearl.

i went on this on january the 19th cant remember but its was awesome fun!

we did our cruise on the Pearl for 15 days and she is a lovely vessel.I cant fault anything.Service was ist class,restaurant is fantastic,shows were great,entertainers were awesome and our cabin was huge with a big window although we were given a disability cabin which we didnt need.She is 22 years old but lovely with lots of character.

They sure have spruced up the old girl when she was in the Caribbean named the Ocean Village in Feb 2010 she was the worst ship we ever cruised. It seems a different ship now, just for the aussies. You wait until you get one of the new P&O ships currently in Europe then you will see real Class.
