just one question are you just firing the rifle with no pellet?

These are very good videos and you are to be commended for the amount of time and effort you have put in. My concern with these videos is that the microphone is too close to the rifle, as most of the noise heard is that of the rifle's action rather than the pellet leaving the silencer. This is in no way a criticism merely an observation that you may have overlooked.

The last but one seemed to be the most efficient at noise damping.but all ears hear things differently

be good if you had a decible reader to see exactly what they are producing..

I think you're dryfiring and an airgun's noise significantly changes when dryfired and the silencers' effect on the noise reduces. You should actually shoot the gun to see the real difference. Also there is a possibility for the silencer to shift the POI and effect accuracy of the gun. I know you claimed this is a "basic test" but a nice silencer test should include making groups at various distances.

Hello, i thought the largest was the loudest. I would go with the first smallest one.

lol nice accent

does 22 cal silencers work on 177 rifles
and does it harm the gun if u used one on a 177 cal ??
he has some nice looking cans, but he's got to work with the internals on all of them. they all sound the fucking same.

@thedriver There is a difference, I found It's best to listen to comparisons with thwe volume turned down as low as possible.

i think long one was the best but we are talking about an air rifle so they dont get that noisy to begin with

neil is a good lad, im lucky enough to have had some some stuff made whislst popping over for the odd coffee , (only live 2 miles away) i think the size of silencer swept volume is proportionate to gas expelled, ie air gun, to rimfire to magnum rimfire to centerfire.
ie more gas , bigger silencer or trickier baffeling to slow the gases down .. same principle as a car exhaust really , but with the added problem of stopping the gases affecting the bullet/pellet to much after its left the barrel.
