I've put a bit of narration on the clip to show you the road layout, but basically, you need the right hand lane to go straight over. There's a long que of cars which I filter past, otherwise I could be waiting there 10 minutes.

I filter a few back and put my hand up to say thank you to the driver for "letting me in". Just general good manners from my part which I didn't need to do.

I then follow the correct line over the roundabout (different from most roundabouts) and before I can signal to turn left, the joker behind is trying to undertake on the roundabout. I think I then signal left and get honked. I then yell out for him to look at the road markings, as he's being a twit.

After that, when I look past he seemed to be trying to position himself so he can overtake in the smallest of gaps. I then point to the camera and he seems to get the message and doesn't overtake me until after the pinch points on this stretch of road.

  • What a cock! I've thought before that simply by wearing a camera that's visible helps to increase safety. I've had plenty of people hang back behind me only to stare in bewilderment at my head when they pass :)

Nice touch adding commentary to the beginning, I might try that.

  • @jonredhornet yeah, I thought it would be useful to save people saying I went around the roundabout wrong...obviously, you wouldn't take that route on most roundabouts, but do here.

All it would take is a little bit of patience and stuff like this would never happen. The guy seemed in a right rush to get past, both on the roundabout and then after until he realised it was all on film.

  • @thomase1 all on film... and on youtube!

  • I think its time for a rear cam, Thomas

    ;-)

I get the feeling he thought you were cutting him up by filtering and perhaps this lead to the outburst with the horn.

I think sometimes its easier to just sit in the line of waiting traffic than get involved with these conflicts. You know, behave like you would in a car as its so near a junction anyway.

  • Left left, right straight... sounds simple enough. And they had the cheek to beep you when they were in the wrong, ignorance++
