@MrSeangeeee, Yes a Go Pro can be mounted. You will first have to buy the tripod mount in order to attach it to the plastic housing of the Go Pro. It costs about $7.00 from Amazon.

Yes, I do use VR while on the monopod. With today's modern advances in vibration reduction, it works great.

I paid around $300 to $350 for the Gitzo Carbon fiber.

I think I could shoot at about an 1/8 of a second if need be. I never tried to see how slow I could get - maybe I'll give it a try.

@tv510 do you know if GoPro cameras can be mounted on monopods?

I do mostly hand-held landscapes and nature shots with a Nikon D7000 and kit lenses. I want the best results I can get with this gear I can afford. A monopod sounds like it might help me. If the lens has VR, do you leave VR on when using the monopod?

Nice! What would you say is the max exposure you can get with a monopod without inducing camera shake with say a 50mm lens as an example? 1/3? 1/10?
