@sonnomdeplume I think the reason so many raw foodies come off as "high and mighty" is because they try to justify why they don't eat cooked food so heavily. They should just say, "I only eat raw food/don't eat cook food because that's the choice I made and how I want to live my life." That way they don't come off as sounding better than any one else, just different.

This is yet another Expert Village video that is fragmented, cut off. What is the point of posting if not to show prep from beginning to end? They are all just a few minutes long and don't offer much info. It's also a disservice to the food experts featured, who are trying to explain something. I won't waste my time in watching more.

Obviously, the raw diet isn't for everyone, but sometimes it bothers me that people who follow it place themselves on higher moral ground. Putting that aside(but not quite), there's a strong underlying linguistic paradox in this video and in the raw diet. She still refers the rutabago mixture as "rice", although it's clearly not that and she doesn't "tolerate" it. Furthermore, the slices of coconut are refered to as "coconut meat". Isn't that something? They should really work on terminology.
