Unity lets you download Android and iOS devolopment for FREE! Until 8th of April. You get to keep the license after 8th of April as well. It's true.

@DrBBurton i cant seem to run the build on my phone without building and running it through unity. can you do this or not until the final build?

hi Doc, when I open Android SDK, it prompts me to DL and install specific packages.. which packages do I need? my phone's OS is 2.3.. so do I only need 2.3? - I'd appreciate it if you can get back to me, as none of the documentation is clear on this

@KotsChopShop You're right, the documentation isn't very clear. I think you can get by with just downloading 2.3. Of course, it you need more of the packages, you can always go back and download them!

@Residentevilfan500 To sell your mobile game through iTunes or Android market, you will have to get either (or both) an Android developers account ($25) and/or an Apple Developers ($99/yr) account.
