  • Simplicity is often a key concept I think. However, we are looking at artwork that is merging tradition and modernity. Not all of these gardens are my favorite, but I give credit to the designers for expressing themselves. They are showing people that their preconceived notions of what is or isn't "Japanese" needs to be explored a bit more. Some of the gardens were busy, but others were more thought provoking and relaxing. Thanks for watching

  • Some of these look to fussy and crowded to be Japanese. They look a bit hectic, rather than peaceful, IMHO.
