  • randy is a pro, listen to the commentary during finals and semi fianls and such, he sometimes calls the plays before the players even realize, BDM and Randy are top-notch.

  • You forget that Randy IS a pro. People don't give him enough credit - usually people who are newer to the game.

  • randy USED to be a pro, he's a smart guy, but magic is a changing game and unless you are seriously testing each format, you can't properly comment on the level he tries to.

  • @ytkliu I respect LSV but he's a dickhead.

  • BDM is NOT top notch lol, he seems like he is on a fairly low level of play.

he lists key cards and new cards and reports during tourneys and hes good at that. hes not a mind in competitive magic. randy actually is.

  • Randy had been working in R&D for nearly 10 years before he stopped working for the company.

At any stage where he misses a card interaction and/or gets a card name wrong, it's because he'd been playing with the playtest, non-finalised versions of cards cards for those sets, he's a lot better than you give him credit for

  • Randy let the pro talk.

  • All the packs are opened before the event and checked for print errors, extra cards (the ones that explain mechanics and also the player cards) are removed, and other things of that nature. Also, all the foils are replaced with non-foil versions of the card.

  • why are there X's on the cards?
