In this lesson, the second lesson of the first course, we cover new vocabulary - vieux, vieil, le poulet, le canard, the construction of negative sentences using ne pas, je n'ai pas, n'avez-vous pas, le poisson, le jambon, petit, gros, le dindon, and the possessive pronouns, mon and votre. We also revise the material from the first lesson. These first two lessons deal with typical things you may find at a dining table, so you can ask for food items, or say you do not have them, when asked, using simple question forms.

  • Nice course. Is there anyway you that you can show the words that you are speakig and their meaning onthe screen as you talk?

  • @IntoDust24 Yes, there is, but I am not going to do that. You need to get a notebook, and start to build up your textbook by hand. All the new words are spelled out for you to write down. This is an oral course.

  • Thank you very much for your help with my French

  • @xoiox100 Thanks. I hope you manage to keep up with the course. More lessons are coming soon.

  • thank you, very good method!

  • @rmc8193 Hi, I am pleased you like the method. it is possibly a bit 'boring', in that it has no stories or narratives, but on the other hand, the system invented by Manesca is very thorough, and ideally suited to a medium like YouTube.

  • I love your lessons! I listen to them as I get ready for work in the morning. I am headed on to Number 3 tomorrow. I write in my notebook and then get ready during le movements and then run back to the notebook. It is perfect! My goal is to be able to read Les Miserables in french one day. It's my favorite novel. Thank you so much for taking the time to do this.

    Merci!

  • Good job!!! Thank u :)
