These are stone-henge like monuments. There are a few in Drenthe, this one just a few minute's bike ride from Assen

  • They aren't much like stone henge, really, as they were used as burial sites. When they were built, they were covered with soil, so they used to look like small hills in the countryside. The soil went away through the ages, leaving the stone 'skeletons' behind.

    There are quite a lot of them in the province of Drenthe, amongst which is a massive one, located in Borger.

  • dont go climb on them or sit on it...

    hunebeds are graves u should respect that...
