@thomasmorrismusic Wrong...It was written by Ed King and Ronnie Van Zant.

Spot On a Really interesting Harmony Part.I believe this was written by J.J. Kale who also wrote *AFTER MIDNIGHT* and *COCAINE* covered by Eric Clapton-Love that Carvin sc90 and how you put yourself into the song at the end. Ed King maybe retiring out of late which could be an opportunity for you.Ricky Medlock lives at Gulf Harbor here in FT Myers Fl in the same Sub-Division as Cliff Willams [AC/DC] bass man with both stopping in GUITAR CENTER on and off. Good Job!!

Great job man!
I like alot of Allen's lead parts you did ontop, Ed's solo can probably only be recreated perfectly with a Strat, but his technique is pretty hard to create I must admit when he closes his eyes and goes into his 'solo picking' mode, can be quite hectic! But anyway, I think you nailed it the best you could with that Carvin while giving it your own style too! One of the best covers of Workin For MCA on YouTube at the moment in my opinion!

everything is pretty spot on except for some of ed kings solo. that guy's a trip, isn't he? very weird. his second solo in sweet home has some subtle coolness as well.
ive always thought skynyrd must have been an influence on all the 80s metal bands...from scorpions to iron maiden to def leppard. they all seemed to appropriate a little bit of skynyrds balls and bravado, and gunslinger guitar attitude.
