Parts of it remind me of the nightmare theme from the first game. Personally I could see it used as a nighttime theme in Kowloon when looking for the Yellow Head scout.

I think it's a remix of the nightmare music from the first game mixed with some elements of chinese sound samples that are used in Shenmue 2,all in a slowed down tense remix.
