Reviewing what everyone knows by now about the new Zelda Wii's official art, and also giving my own speculations about the symbolism of the background. What do the fire and cave mean?

Do not own anything. The Legend of Zelda, Link and that unnamed Master Sword's Spirit all belong to Nintendo.

Q: I will like to know where you read that it will be the darkest zelda cuz I didn't read anything about that...

A: You can find the video I saw that in at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xOJlHwc0pxk&feature=channel (watch the entire thing for detailed info, or skip to 6:25 for the part you're looking for) This guy went to E3, it seems, and heard what Miyamoto said, so he's a trustworthy source ^^

Q: When will we get an update, at least on the title?
A: Well, I searched it up, and according to http://zelda.wikia.com/wiki/The_Legend_of_Zelda_(upcoming_Wii_game) , the title, as well as a few minor spoilers, will surely be coming soon in 2009. STAY TUNED! ^^

This would have made a better game than "Skyward Sword". My theory is that they abandoned this storyline because they just made a zelda game that was somewhat dark (twilight princess) and this one seems even darker. Skyward Sword seems to be heavily based on the Wii gameplay, and as many of us know, Wii is commercializes itself to "family friendly" homes. Something like Link having desires and inner conflict seems too deep for your "family friendly" game, but we'll have to wait and see SS.

@DCombz I completely agree. Damn, Nintendo should realize by now that they'll maybe lose a bunch of younger audience members, but gain a lot more adult audience members if they do make Zelda games darker. Besides, which 10-year old is going to ask their mom for a game where this guy kills things and shoots things? And which mom would actually buy it? I mean, they might as well adapt it to older audiences while they're at it -.-"

@biggestlozfan Omahgosh yah! but Nintendo is one of the only game companys that sell games that rather have the good guy kill the bad guy and don't have some game that you just shoot random people in(I know you guys wern't talking about those kind of games but I don't like the games when you drink, drive, shot, and skrew). But I do agree w/ you 2 about Link going evil, like he goes evil but goes good in the end. I'm sure that SS won't have a corrupt Link in it, but I'm sure It'll be good

@SuperSmashSista I know, I wasn't expecting a first person shooter out of Zelda games, but still, a LITTLE amount of dark themes would be nice ): I wonder what SS holds for us U.U

@biggestlozfan At least they have some dark themed games, like Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask. But it seems like advancements like Nintendo's "Family Fun" gimmick might put an end to dark Zelda titles. I'm scared.
