Far away from all-inclusive resorts: great area for those with a zest for adventure in a more authentic Mexican area than the hotel zone. Selva Romantica (romantic jungle) construction started in 2005 and was the final project by a famous Mexican architect. Senor Rivera created a balanced mix of traditional Mexican architecture and the amenities/services that savvy travelers desire. Small buildings surround the pool/gym; each with a few unique suites.
