João Pernambuco: Sons de Carrilhoes

João Pernambuco was a popular street-musician in Rio de Janeiro just after World War I. He was a good friend to H. Villa.Lobos. "Carrilhões" means something like ""bells" as in Churchbells...
I've chosen to play this kind of "laid-back" rather than "latin"... Hope you like it.

Je viens d'écouter toutes les versions de youtube de ce morceaux et j'observe que c'est bien la seule version qui respecte la partition original de Pernambuco, il fait les syncopes! c'est vraiment bizarre que des guitaristes que j'aime plus ne le font pas comme david russel.

The main problem is when he like everyone else besides Leona Boyd gallops right through the opening phrasings. It's a maxixe, and has a feel, a real ding-dong on the opening bell notes and with marked emphasis on the last two notes on each section endings!
