  • Thanks for that, do you know what the step down was on the transformer? If so, maybe I could mock something up.

  • Not sure, I know it had around 4 different voltages, 12v, 24v, 5v and another hence why they are a right pain. The DIY one I had was much bigger with a more heavy duty transformer, best bet would be to see if you can track down a non working one and repair that.

  • I have just been given one of these but it has no lead. Is it possible to get one with the right plug - if so, where? I'm busting to play with it!

  • @gjdsffk Hi, Bad News!! The lead which is attached to the Accordion goes into a large Special mains Transformer, the Transformer powers the Accordion but also has the outputs for the sound, These are as rare as the accordions, The orginal Hohned ones are prone to breaking down, I had a Heavy Duty one with mine as well, hence why mine was quite rare, they have now been sold. GOOD LUCK!

  • fuckin idiot

  • @virtuaswindon Yes, I bought one for £25, the chap thought it was beyond repair. It was the lead. I repaired it myself, they can be resoldered. Mine had lost contact with the central pin at one end and I had to resolder all seven wires to the pretty unique plug. Sounds easy enough, but you have very little space to work with. (If you ever need to do it be very careful noting the coloured wire positions. Has worked perfectly ever since.
