Police? Nothing that a $20 bribe to the police would resolve. The only positive spin to these travesty is that one might be excused from court appearances after the payoff. Don't get stopped in Vietnam- you are only supporting corruption.

Truth is, you have riders coming and going at 360 degrees around you, all at once. The videographer had the right to be there just as any Joe would riding in the the street for whatever reason. This documentation is probably more useful in reason than that of those just seeking a joyride. The law of the road there cannot be examined through Western perception. Careful what you say.

I really enjoyed your videos, what interesting things you have done and interesting taste in what to film. People like yourself have made youtube so classy and sophisticated. I hope you continue and thank you for sharing them. Well done!

they crash when you put helmets on them. Notice his helmet on the handle? he was probably an american comming back to visit.
(for the idiots, helmets hinder the motorists' ability to see and hear things clearly.)

And there are much busy parts of the city. Down in the working class south west , there is a big intersection controlled by traffic lights...
Imagine 500 Honda's facing north, totally blocking both sides of the road ..
and 500 facing south. 500 facing east and 500 facing west.
And no one going anywhere, because all exits are blocked by entering vehicles..
Doesn't matter that you didn't actually cause a crash..
You still could have caused a crash. Would you do this in your own city ? The police would take you in to the station to decide what to do with you.

I just returned to the US today from Hanoi. All the guidebooks (and common practice) tell you to cross the street at a deliberate constant pace so motorbike drivers can judge how to go around you. I wonder if your wanderings around in the middle of that intersection for the sake of your own personal video goals caused the unfortunate local driver to crash his bike. Yours is more of a disturbing video about an insensitive American overseas.

Hi I appreciate your concern..I can assure you the downed motorbike was well away from the camera and there was no connection between it going down and the video. Your assumption of insensitivity is baseless.
