I have been to the china and north korea border when i was studying in china. The scenery is really beautiful, and people are friendly.I met some north koreans as well as some chinese koreans. They were not very happy that the western media described their country as a poor and horrible country. When i was travelling by ship, i can see very clearly the north korean border guide's faces. Before the travel north korea is a mysterious and scarying country, but now i respect the country and its ppl

If North Korea is so great, why is there a thriving black market for human flesh? The proud North Korean people resort to cannibalism just to survive while the dear leader pumps their very life blood into a ridiculously excessive military machine. Just to the south, there are Korean people enjoying one of the highest standards of living in the world. I wonder what the difference is? Let's see--Communist totalitarianism in the north, freedom in the south; which is better?

@Jalclk124 I think you meant the Communists. China fought against Western powers and Japan during the pre-modern era. It was too weak then to fight against the Communists and had to submit. So really, people can only blame the West and Japan for exploiting China then and made it Communist today.

So it's illegal to videotape N. Korea. Well, the only thing I can think of is that the Chinese are worried about Smugglers doing video surveillance to pass on to those involved in helping people to escape N. Korea.
