  • I love your videos but just so you know, it's soft "palate" not "palette", the palette is what painters use to paint. ;)

  • Why don't actual famous singers make these videos? Trying to keep all their secrects eh? I see their hollywood trickery! >:)

  • Yamaha MO8 xD!!

  • This is a little confusing, the soft palate (in people with normal anatomy) automatically raises for all speech sounds besides m and n. Do you mean you want it *lowered* for singing, to allow some resonance in the nasal cavities? I can't imagine why else you would bring up the soft palate.

  • well, there's more space for the note to resonate, and it is also helpful for the use of head voice. it "shoots" the note up into your head and nasal area.

  • that was actually rele rele helpful. I did notice a difference. It kinda hurts my throat through....

  • That is a great advice!

  • Your explanation on the location of the soft palate is not very good. "with your thumb...touch your soft palate"..."not your hard palate but your soft palate". That explanation does not help somone who doesn't even know what your talking about.

  • So how do I raise my soft palate? I tried but I don't have those kinds of muscles... any suggestions? When I yawn I feel it raise but I can't do it while singing. XD

  • soft palet means that little tounge ?lolz

  • it went xD

but why is the raising of the palate so important
