I saw your post on edmunds.
I also own a 2008 WRX.
I wanna get the bluetooth for the navigation but now looking at this video, im thinking otherwise. Please message me back to let me know the blue tooth is still an issue.
Your static speakers happens to me as well, out of no where. It goes away on its own. My static sounding speaker only has happened 2 times so far, but has never lasted more than a few hours.

Sorry took me so long to reply. I would just get a Jawbone from Aliph and save the $300+
The in-car bluetooth just does not work reliably. I only had the blue tooth work 5 or 6 days since I had it installed in May. It's been for service with no result. It's now Mid July. Do the math.
Sometimes the static goes away if you open and close the drivers side door repeatedly. I have an hour commute and the static drives me insane. I had the static happen again today but did not have my video camera.
