I waited like an hour or so after i got out of the shower. Nothing special I jus did almost exactly what the instructions said. Now I have used it on my legs, which it worked great my bikini line not so much, but if ur referring to anywhere else I couldn't tell u

@InTheMomment Umm on the bottle it says legs and body and doesn't actually say bikini line. I used it on my bikini line though if that's what you were asking and I didn't have any irritation at all. I haven't tried it on my underarms yet though. They tell you to do a test patch on the area you want to use just to make sure cause everyone's skin reacts differently.
