1) I'm aware that there are already videos of country signs on Youtube -- I just wanted to create a more comprehensive list for anyone who needs it.
2) I know some of the countries are not in their respective regions. I'm not good at geography so I made no attempt to rearrange the signs. I signed them in the order in which we learned them, so some are out of order, and I'm aware that Russia is not part of Asia. :)
3) I apologize for the poor background and lighting, but hopefully my hands are lit up well enough.

With that said, enjoy! :)

  • Im looking for the word Jordan, did you "say" it there?

  • @6abara Sorry, I don't think I did! It's been so long since I put this video up; I've lost all my ASL skills. :(

  • If you're only a 3rd year ASL Student then I have to say you have amazing natural ability! If you're a teacher of 3rd year ASL, then I thank you for this video...it's very well done.

  • @VernMLeon WOW! Thank you so much for the compliment. At that time, I think I was in my first semester of my third year of ASL. I did a lot of practicing and learning outside of class, though, which is probably why I look a little more advanced.

Unfortunately, I switched majors and haven't practiced in forever, so I'm very, very, very rusty. :( I miss it.

  • Thank you SO much for your videos. I stumbled across them searching for practice on my receptive work with numbers. Your video helped me pass my test!

Now I have to do a video story and needed the sign for Japan/Japanese. I couldn't find it anywhere and thought to look at your videos and Voila' !

Your signing is very clear and is a fantastic help to those of us just learning. Keep it up!

    :)

  • Oh, that's such a great compliment, I'm so glad to hear you passed your test! Like I said in a couple other replies, I don't claim to be a teacher or anything. I just upload videos with requests or topics I'd want to find, too!

Good luck in class, keep learning and growing! Oh, and have a great day. :)

  • @mergfkt np, thnx :)

  • Ahh I see, Thanks! Very cool.

  • I already described it... It's in the message above the one you responded to...

  • Hey! Pretty cool! I knew about half or more of those..a few I learned new/different signs and different orientations, for example, turkey i learned is off the hand- I did learn it from someone Deaf in Poland, maybe that makes a difference, also Hong kong i learned is more nearer the nose, again, learned it from Deaf near HK or who have been there, there were a few others like that also, but cool to see so many signs of all the countries!

  • Sooo what IS the sign they use then?
