Man , Lucas has lost his way . The story is what matters the most . Why do you think people despised the prequels ?

Thanks, that's a lot better than a lot of other would treat what I said. As far as the SE changes go I've always had mixed feelings to them. There's some I actually like (This, McDiarmid in EMPIRE, the music at the end of JEDI being changed yub-nub never really did it for me), some I just find unnecessary (Ewoks blinking, the Mos Eisley additions) and ones I didn't like (Obviously the Han and Greedo scene, and now the NO at the end of JEDI). Still, I get where you're coming from.

@SLPIFan As far as crap goes, Cloud City add-on is really crappy and unnecessary, but it isn't the worst (I think the worst city add-on was Anchorhead), but I am a purist and believe the movies were perfect the way they are. But i respect your opinion.

"You look truly beautiful. You surely belong with us here among the clouds"
With lines like that with Lando building it up you would be expecting something a bit more grand and majestic. This is an SE change that in my opinion was for the better because it seemed to follow the glamour everyone seemed to be treating the place like it had. (And no, I don't agree with every SE change)

With each new revision, George Lucas is destroying these movies. STOP IT ALREADY.

More? Really? I do remember that Cloud City was an independent mining colony or something of the sort. Not a giant city. You just wanted to sell more toys to brainless idiots that like the new crap.

Lucas, go to hell man

"Yeah, it was always our intention to have a funny little alien thing washing the windows in the background almost as if he's waving towards the audience".
Sometimes, it's better for the audience to use their imagination of what's beyond.

@joeylodes I think Kershner had a saying, "Less is more", something Lucas has never understood. Kershner has also said his film was the one people saw in 1980. If he wanted more he would've added it back in 1980.
It comes ever more to seem as though Lucas just got lucky. His relative obscurity for the 1st...er...4th movie forced him to limit the scope of the things he tried. This left him w/ a relatively tight movie script. A classic myth of a hero, in space. It isn't really science fiction. It is a quest w/ rocket ships. That was fun. If he had his way like he did in the later movies, he'd have made a hash of it too.

actually George … everything you add to the this and especially New Hope just distracts to viewer from the main story at hand. You Absolutely totally suck shit. Thank you Irvin Kershner for directing a fantastic film
