  • Yes, some of them they live Chernobil, whereas Pripjat is ghost town. The old Grandfather with Grandmother lives in zone 1, that is 5km from the nuclear plant. He moved away for a half a year then he returned and grow his food from the land in zone 1. Him and his wife are healthier then my Grandmother. I guess radioactive cloud miss them.

    Most of the portraits were don in Kiev and they are survivors that were affected by disaster.

  • Eastern europe is not only depressing, just as other places on the earth! There are depressing places everywhere! But if you want to look nice places of eastern europe, why are you check the chernobyl images? What you think? People are selebrating ewery week in their nice pink houses the worst nuclear disaster ever? Use your head, before u asking!

  • because we were in soviet part of europe (1945-1990) and it wasnt so nice. Not just for political...

    And why is chernobyl depressed... i really dont know :P
