Our jazz band is working on this song now. Uggg he switched songs (to this one) like 2.5 weeks before contest lol.

Great song but I do agree, a bit slower has a nicer funk groove to it and the bass slap is a bit too bright for my taste. It would sound more fitting if it was just plucked really tight like funk

My school is playing this arrangement too, this sounded good but a tad too much slap and too fast in my opinion.
