Highlights from the 2011 meeting between the storied Oklahoma State and Iowa wrestling programs.

The No. 6 Oklahoma State wrestling team ended No. 10 Iowa's 69-match winning streak in dual meets by tying the Hawkeyes, 15-15 Sunday at Gallagher-Iba Arena.

With the win, the Cowboys moved to 7-2-1 on the season. Iowa went to 8-0-1 overall.

Both teams won five bouts, with Oklahoma State registering 13 takedowns in the dual to Iowa's nine.

  • It helps to be able to train outdoors during the wintertime, like one can do in Oklahoma. Jogging's a way of getting in shape, and staying that way. Meanwhile, warmer weather permits folks to avoid spreading the flu and other germs, thereby remaining more healthy and able to train and learn, and have fun. And folks wonder why Oklahoma leads the nation in terms of the states with NCAA D-1 team wrestling titles?
