The Joe Franklin Show ran on television for 40 consecutive years. Considered the pioneer of the modern TV talk-show format. Joe Franklin is reported to have interviewed over 300,000 guests. Recently, he appeared on the other side of the desk as a guest on a local cable access show devoted to a comman cause: nostalgia.

  • What a surprise to see a good friend Val Warren in the above clip.

    He recently passed away.

  • Yeah I thought that was wrong because I watched his show during his last years. My friend will be interviewing him in a few weeks.

  • I met Joe in his original midtown Manhattan office before he moved the show to Secaucus, NJ. He had to step out for awhile and asked my girfriend and me to answer his phone and watch the place until he came back. The guy's got a mind like a steel trap! May he live to 120!

  • that's fantastic, ol' joe's still going, it's great to see, since so many old tv stars are dying off

  • Wrong! Joe Franklin's talk/variety nostaltic tv show

went off the air in August,1993. I ought to know..I taped his last series of shows

    that summer of 1993.
