Here's an idea:
-End all services to illegal immigrants
-Cut the prison budget from 10 Billion to 5 Billion and take 2.5 Billion of the 5 Billion which would have gone to the prisons and give it to Education/ Job Creation initiatives. Outcome is 2.5 Billion in savings, more education which leads to jobs which leads to less incentive for crime which further reduces the need for a massive prison industrial complex
-Reduce state gov. workers salaries

i agreed with u on the education but only certain things that we dont need, like 2 many food service in 1 school, after school program(waste of money), over hiring teachers, PE, Music, 2 many vice princples in 1 high school, & many more 2 mention. School district problems is they over hire ppl so the money can b used up N now this shit happen, they shouldnt b hiring ppl in the first place

Everyone better understand that we now have a big economic problem in California. If we collaspe, then there won't be a budget to pass. Billions of dollars are wasted on stupid programs that really don;t have any usefull function. State employees better get used to at least getting lower wages or just be without a job. By the way USA is almost dead last in education scores in the world!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I don't see a problem with some cuts to education. There is a lot of waste there also

It's easy to protest budget cuts, but nobody has any ideas on where the state can get some extra money. The Calif. budget is $145 billion and the DEFICIT is $20 billion. Today the governor fired 10,000 state employees resulting in long lines at the DMV--how funny! Congressman Tancredo from Colo. told the governor that Calif. could save $11 billion by denying services to illegals. We could print more money like they did in Zimbabwe, but that caused 10,000% inflation. LOL
