  • Can someone please translate from Purbi.

  • "Baro ghee kay deeyay na, bhaile Amana key lulna".

The words can be roughly translated as follows:- Baro: light up, ghee: butter oil, deeyay: (plural of deeya) lamps,

bhailey: has arrived, has been born, lulna: from laal i.e. baby.

"Light up the oil lamps, for Amana's (s) babe has arrived."

All lot of the remaining lyrics are in Urdu.

    Hope this helps.

  • @bohotkhoob

  • @smohsinas my pleasure. my blog has many more qawwalis by munshi raziuddin: qaul.blogspot.com.

  • Great music. Voice of Raziuddin Saheb is from the time when he was around 90 years old. He was such a great ustad and yet very humble. Where did you get this wonderful music from? The photos are also a good collection. A few were taken by me. Allah tumhein khush rakhey!

  • This recording is from a session that took place in the mid-90s in Islamabad. It's one of my favorite pieces and I am happy you enjoyed. Thanks for the kind thoughts as well.
