RUSSELL C. LEONG is the editor of Amerasia Journal at the UCLA Asian American Studies Center and is an Adjunct Professor in Asian American Studies and English at UCLA.
MARY UYEMATSU KAO is AASC's Publications Coordinator, designing and
producing Amerasia Journal for the last 23 years. After receiving an MA in Asian
American Studies in 2007, she taught a class on the "1970s Asian Movement/Los Angeles" in Fall, 2008. She co-guest edited with Stephanie Santos Amerasia's women's issue, "Where Women Tell Stories" (2009), and co-curated with Marji Lee the "Breaking Ground: Forty Years of UCLA Asian American Studies" exhibit at the Powell College Library, Fall 2009.
