The last one was a little known Public Information Film warning about the dangers of running close to a corner where anything can happen,in this case a window pane of glass carried by glaziers suddenly emerging around the corner.

Aww,,,how quaint..."Its telly selly time" should read "Its exploity oity time"...I was 9 in 1980, so ripe for the picking. I don't remember "Doctor Doctor" (clearly a response to MB's Operation)...and as a cynical 40 year old, I wonder...did they get to diagnose Pancreatic Cancer or Parkinson's Disease?

I had star bird avenger, and on the box they showed you the baddie one in black and i never saw one, don't run around corners or you'll end up as corned beef face with nice legs..
-
I think they changed 'Don't Run!' a few years later to 'Look where you're going you stupid cow!'
-
It's because of 'Don't Run!' that there are so many fat people about today.

Smelly telly time was TISWAS.
I thought IDEAL was a British company, so why are the kids in the ad all Yanks?

Ideal were originally a US-founded company who folded over there in 1982 (source: Wikipedia); their UK subsidiary must have lasted a few years longer as I remember they were still going in the mid/late-1980s.
I assume they used the US adverts to save the costs of making ads in other countries, but as we invented English, they probably chose to save more money by not re-dubbing the voice of the children in the ad.
