This is a small clip of Meat Beat Manifesto performing 'Helter Skelter' live from their show in New York City, 2.25.06 @ BB. King's Bar & Grill. This is a partial clip. Please excuse the distorted bass ;).

  • Damn I am jealous, the sound is too much for the microphone. That must have just been awesome!

  • it was amazing! but yeah, the bass was too much to capture anything from this show on video, but i shot it anyway for the memory because some of these are my favorite songs :).

  • SOOOOOO sick.

  • artichuck, i was at that happy mondays show and it was the best one i went to there (that i can remember)!

  • I was there I think :) City Gardens, aka Shitty Gardens? So many great shows there. From punk to industrial to Mancurian and shoegazing bands...probably my favorite show there was Happy Mondays, at the height of Pills Thrills n Bellyaches. Good times. *Sigh*

  • I saw 808 State and MBM back in Trenton,NJ when 808's "gorgeous" came out, and Jack was one of the sweetest people i've ever met.

Yeah, that was an earplug kind of show. the lowest bass ive ever heard in a live act. Both bands actually.

  • where did the video for this go? this used to be up here. this is cool except for the distortion.

  • cool video, love the video sampling. theres a free download of helter skelter live at the mbm website if your looking for audio quality.

  • Do you know of a song that he did back in late 80's that repeats "Movin and a groovin, the powers make you wanna go on the dance floor"? I always thought that was strapdown, maybe one of the many alternate versions? Its important to me, because his music effectivley turned me on to acid house/techno/electronica. He is a high favorite!
