  • I would give almost anything to be as incredible as Jeff on the drums.

Ah well, maybe in 30 years after almost non-stop intensive Jazz soloing...

  • love the smiles on joey's and tain's faces while soloing...!!! :)

  • don't mean to sound "pseudo-poetic," but this piece is in a place between relaxation/fluidity and tension/control in a way that seems to bring out the best in every musician here... i JUST finished listening to Love Supreme Live on YT, and now THIS...! That's it, I'm buying the DVD!!

  • i've been lucky enough to witness this live ten years ago and absolutely nothing can come close to this.

(note for self: never sit in the front row at a gig where Tain's playing A-GAIN lol 8P)

  • i CAN THINK OF 1 OTHER DRUMMER WHO HAS THIS KIND OF POLY RHYTHMIC APPROACH AS jEFF AND THAT WOULD BE Pete Zeldman.Played with him in Pittsburgh before he moved to London and is now an instructer at The Guitar Institute. He has been featured in Modern Drummer and was interviewed by Stewart Copeland.Check Him out

  • @flipadiddle Oh yeah! What the hell was I thinking?

  • @CribNotes lol pretty sure he was talking about jeff ballard. who the hell is eric ballard?

  • @kmbackid you talking about Eric Ballard? He's pretty good but he's no Tain. Nothing Eric Ballard plays confuses me the way Tain does. Super entertaining.

  • @Easleytee I was obviously joking about Tain being a rock drummer, but maybe you didn't understand what I meant.

  • @CribNotes love tain, but i feel like ballard is the best poly-rhythmic drummer ever...
