This has been my fav song for about 20 yrs now. Or at least my fav album. My dad had this tape, and I've had this tape for about the same time now. Although his and my first or second tore up, and I had to replace. I still use the tape i have now, i dont have the cd:)
I love the bass most I guess. It's overlooked at times, but it permeates all the songs, and its bad ass. This albums always had a surreal renaissance-esk type feel to me that I can't explain.
One of my Homey's had just gotten out of prison about the same time Paul's tune here hit the airwaves. As we smoked a joint I said "Man, this is a kool song". He said he hated it because it reminded him of the stir. I said "MAN!! they GET AWAY! That's the essence of the crux of the epitome, dude!"
Does anyone know if it is just legend that John Lennon appears at 2:07 of this song with the line "If we ever get out of here." I believe it is him and if it is, it's the last moment Lennon and McCartney ever had on any track together. Anyone know for sure?

@ajc55ny from a book i just read, i think the last one they did
together was Ballad of John and Yoko. Paul wanted to see John
before he was killed but it never happened. TOOO SAD

Poor Linda, i'm glad you loved her and stood up for her not being a GRAT
Musician. Know what that is like, but never had to have millions of people
picking my inadaquicies apart. May you be happy again some day
