@NovaScotiaChick ''A cliché story of escape, hardship and endurance''. Do you know this story is based on a real story of Slawomir Rawicz who escape the gulag camp 303 and walk over 4000 miles to India. Maybe you should learn more and talk less.

A cliché story of escape, hardship and endurance.
It therefore relies heavily on brilliant character acting, which Colin Farrell delivers. (Have you seen him yet in 'Cassandra's Dream' with Ewan McGregor?)
Ed Harris and Jim Sturgess are great too and the supporting cast is good.
Saoirse Ronan is pretty and can act, but I don't think this should have been a role for her. Too young perhaps.
I voted 8 on imdb.
