This video downloads much faster and has the best quality out of several others on YouTube of Klimova & Ponomarenko's free dance at the Olympics & Worlds in 1992. Needless to say, almost 20 years later they and their routine are as astonishing as ever.

No one has ever surpassed or equalled K. & P. I'm so inspired by this performance. It doesn't get any better than this.

they were always my favorite pair. Even her hair plays a part in the dance. The choreography is perfect and outside of Torville and Dean, who are more contemporary dancers, Marina and Sergei are the best. I wish someone would post their performance to Tchaikovskys' 5th symphony performed the following season as professionals. Equally as beautiful as this one.

A WONDERFUL program from one of my favorite couples. Just superb. Their technique is so clean, so precise, their body line and free leg extensions perfect. Really I cannot understand why the judges did not give 6.0 to this routine!

And both programs were choreographed by Shanti Rushpaul :) She also created Grischuk & Platov's 'St. James Infirmary Blues' FD.
My goodness. This is one of the best dances of all time, and certainly one of the top few teams in history. They are so beautiful and I adore that ending when they collapse into a full embrace. How lovely.

A memory from the times that the Ice Dancing sun shone brightly on the master couples. Regulations have since then killed any initiative to dance to classic masterpieces.. Maybe we will be called happy because we witnessed
