Actually employers hire "labor consultants" who are adept at reading body language, they have closed door meetings individually with each worker and figure out the vote count in union elections. They also determine who they can safely fire in order to monkey around with what the vote total will be.
Just search for- secret ballot name only here on this channel. Or look up the work of Prof. Gordon Lafer or Prof. John Logan.

If union membership was 100% it would be all of the middle class, I would assume that is quite obvious. There is great anti union sentinment. I do think you are pro labor. You sound like a plant. The secret ballot would not be removed, but the workers could choose whether or not to, instead of the boss.

Well, since the height of union membership, 68+% who aren't in unions have thought it's not worth it, so your argument won't work. In 1993, as he said, it was only 20%, so it certainly isn't "helping the middle class", just 20%. Isn't it true that this eliminates secret ballots?

I believe in labor rights and unions, but this is crazy! How can the Democrats try to pass a bill that REQUIRES you to automatically be in a union without your consent simply b/c a majority of workers formed a union there?? How does that keep "free choice" alive? What a fradulent name.

As a person who first hand experianced the wrath of antiunion managment. I support the employee free choice act. The problem right now is you can't get to a secret vote. When managment gets the first wind that you are even considering a union or meeting to discuss the issues and solutions that may be had through organizing, you are subjected to intimidation and as in my case firing. We need an equal playing field and the employee free choice act is a valid mechanism to level that field.

The employee free choice act protects workers in unions and makes it easier for them to start them. this opposition is dumb. Unions mean more money for the middle class, it's really as simple as that.
