KAMLOOPS — (MARCH 1, 2011) If cats do indeed have nine lives, Dutchess, a year-old Siamese-Himalayan cross in Cherry Creek, may have used a few on Wednesday (April 7) after getting stuck at the top of a power pole. The cat climbed the pole on Tuesday and spent a chilly night perched atop the wooden structure. Passersby noticed Dutchess and called various agencies for help, but to no avail. One final call to BC Hydro on Wednesday did the trick and, at just before noon on Wednesday, linemen Harry Funk and Pete Trarup pulled their bucket truck alongside the trapped cat.
